Privacy policy
Short version: Heist In 30 has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your progress and settings stay on your device. To fix crashes and see which levels are too hard, the game sends anonymous crash reports (Sentry) and anonymous gameplay statistics (TelemetryDeck), processed in the EU - you can turn both off in the settings. If you buy the full version, the payment goes through the App Store or Google Play, and the purchase is confirmed by RevenueCat using a random ID created by the game.
Who we are
This policy covers the Heist In 30 game for iOS and Android (“the game”) and these web pages. The game is made by its developer (“we”, “us”). Questions about privacy: i2p30mk@gmail.com.
What stays on your device
To work, the game saves on your device:
- settings: language, light or dark theme, vibration, sound, and whether you share anonymous statistics and crash reports;
- your plans for levels (drafts) and your progress.
This data stays in the game's storage on your device and is not sent to us or anyone else. There is no cloud save. Deleting the game deletes this data. Your phone's own backup (iCloud, Google) may include it, under the terms of that backup service.
What the game does not collect
- no account and no sign-in - we don't ask for your name, e-mail or phone number;
- no advertising, no advertising identifier, no tracking across apps or websites;
- no location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
You don't need an internet connection to play.
Crash reports and anonymous statistics
Both are on by default and you can turn them off at any time in the game: Settings → “Anonymous statistics and crash reports”. Turning it off stops sending at once. Nothing is sent without an internet connection.
- Crash reports (Sentry). When the game crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to Sentry, an error-monitoring service by Functional Software, Inc., stored in the EU (Frankfurt). A report contains the error and where in the code it happened, the game version, the operating system and its version, the device model, memory and language, the recent technical events in the app (for example: went to the background) and a random ID of the installation. It contains no name, e-mail, account, advertising identifier or screenshot, and Sentry is set not to store IP addresses. The game also tells Sentry when a session starts and ends, so we can see how many sessions end in a crash. Sentry's privacy policy: sentry.io/privacy.
- Gameplay statistics (TelemetryDeck). The game sends short signals to TelemetryDeck, an analytics service by TelemetryDeck GmbH (Germany): a level was opened; a heist was started (which level, which attempt, whether you got away, how many stars, why the plan failed); the full-version screen was opened; the result of a purchase or a restore (for example: bought, cancelled). Each signal also carries the game and system version, the device model and language, and a one-way hashed random ID of the installation. TelemetryDeck does not store IP addresses or any raw identifier, so the statistics cannot be linked to you. TelemetryDeck's privacy policy: telemetrydeck.com/privacy.
- We use this data only to find and fix errors and to improve the levels and the game. We don't sell it, don't use it for advertising and don't combine it with other data. Legal basis (GDPR): our legitimate interest in a game that works and is fun to play (Art. 6(1)(f)); you can object at any time with the switch in the settings. Sentry and TelemetryDeck process the data on our behalf; crash reports are kept for at most 90 days.
Purchases
The first levels are free. The rest of the game is unlocked by a one-time purchase of the full version. Until the purchase is available in the game, the game makes no purchase connections and this section does not apply.
- Payment is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. We never see your card details, your name or your store account.
- Confirming the purchase. To check that you own the full version, restore it on another device and take it back after a refund, the game uses RevenueCat, a purchase management service by RevenueCat, Inc. When you open the purchase screen, buy or restore, and at start-up if you already own the full version (to notice a refund), the game sends RevenueCat: a random ID created by the game (not linked to your name or store account), the store's purchase receipt (product, price, currency, date, store country) and technical data (platform, game and system version). Like any internet service, RevenueCat also sees your device's IP address. RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
- We use this data only to give you the full version and to answer your questions about a purchase. In the RevenueCat dashboard we see purchases under the random ID, not your name.
Test builds
Test versions given to playtesters (never the version from the App Store or Google Play) can keep a log of plans and results on the device. The log is not sent anywhere; a tester can share it with us themselves with the “Export logs” button in the settings.
Children
The game is not made for children under 13 and does not ask anyone for personal data. Crash reports and statistics are anonymous (above) and can be turned off in the settings. Purchases on a child's device are subject to the store's parental controls (Ask to Buy, Family Link).
Your rights
We keep no personal data about you in our own systems, and crash reports and statistics cannot be linked to you. About the purchase records at RevenueCat, write to i2p30mk@gmail.com - include the date of the purchase so we can find it. If you live in the EU, you can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO).
Changes
We update this page before the game starts doing anything new with data. The date at the top shows the last change.
